They heard me singing and they told me to stop,
Quit these pretentious things and just punch the clock,
These days, my life, I feel it has no purpose,
But late at night the feelings swim to the surface.

Politeness became so rare that some people mistake it for flirtation.

I think I will not be able to go to their show this Saturday. However, last summer at Folk Fest running into this wonderful acapella of this band I had never heard of before (at the time) was a defining moment. This band blew me away, I had to pull out my phone and record on video what I decided at that time was a special musical moment. And it was.  Being surprisedly blown away by 5 t-shirt wearing musicians is what folk fest is all about. That is how I discovered DEER TICK.

Tear the skin off your nose and you’ve got nothing to be grateful for

It’s your list of wishing

It’s some dirty dishes and you wanted more
And you got left, and it hurt
Oh but it could be worse
Yeah, things could be so much worse”
